1. the amount of first-hand footage, and citizen journalism, that has come out of the Virginia Tech shooting has really compounded the point that was trying to be made in Digi Revs - about how much more common, and accessible, citizen journalism is now.
2. while looking on YouTube at aforementioned citizen journalism, i discovered a thing called YoungTubers - what seems to be a bunch of children, who have access to webcams or whatever, and who are blogging. a lot of it seems to be about the environment, but the age that some of them appeared... one girl looked about seven years old, at most. its kind of scary that children that age are being let loose on the internet, seemingly with no restriction about what they can do.
3. as i mentioned on my blog, its also interesting to note how increasingly digital the world is becoming, demonstrated by the caption beneath Funeral For A Friend's new video clip;
Check out the video for Funeral For A Friends' new single 'Into Oblivion (Reunion)' - out digitally on 30th April and physical 7th May. Taken from the brand new album 'Tales Don't Tell Themselves' - out 14th May.
it's just strange that it's out digitally before it's out physically, rather than being the same.
